Summary
Islam and West
The tension between West and Islam or, more provocatively, between Christianity and Islam, is one of the most important cultural and political topic in the world today, that will deeply affect the human history in general. Macedonia is in the vertigo of this tension and the way we come up with this, individually and collectively, will determine our destiny. In this separate we give the texts by Edward Said, Jurgen Habermas, Mile Lasic, Igor Markovic, Farida Faouzia Charfi etc."One more reason for the endurance of the tension between Moslems and the others is the presence of Moslems all over Europe and USA. Look at the map of the present population in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Britain, America, even Sweden, and you will have to admit that Islam is not anymore on the borders of the West but deep inside of it. But why it’s presence is considered as such a big threat?"

Regis Debray
Regis Debray is the most intrigant intelectul figure of the world cultural scene. His deep critical reflections of the contemporarity through the aspects of history still provokes mystery and apailness . Debray invented the world "mediology" and he is the most prominent representative after Mcluhan’s death. "Mediology, the companion of Hermes, God of roads and crossroads, begins with exchange and passes from property to property. You can enter through it, you can move through it, you can enter through the many gates and without previously determined route."

Among the others we give the texts by John Moore, Hakim Bay, Richard Heinberg…

Hanna Pitkin – Rethinking the Social
On the traces of the complex thought of Hanna Arent, Pitkin makes profound analysis of the contemporary world. "The social as such-if we think about it without mythologizing it –is not some kind of eternal metaphysical change of the situation… it is a matter of degree, situation that can go up or down, but situation which is increasing fastly."

Women Icons of the XX-th Century

Cultural Policy
Cultural policy is one of the most subtle issues in the transition countries because it is an area which is far away of our power for developing strategy plans, visions, which does not lay on national-romanticist concepts. In Macedonia, culture policy is on an extremely low level. That is why, in cooperation with ECUMEST association from Bucharest we present several essays on the subject, which might help in the creation of Macedonian strategy for cultural policy. We give essays by Vjeran Katunaric, Vesna Copic, Raymond Weber, Andrea Zlatar, Milena Dpragicevic Sesic, Oana Radu, Lidija Verbanova, Violeta Simjanovska etc.
