In 1994 we made the first attempt
to start a new edition for contemporary theory - a deficit is
in the frames of Macedonian tradition of translating. The
edition was cold "The Postmodernism". We published
five, in a way, modest books: Postmodernism and Philosophy,
Psychology, Psychiatry as readers, America by Jean
Baudrillard, Postmodernism for children by Francois Lyotard
and Chaos Bound by N. Katherine Hayeles. Unfortunately, the
edition had to stop, although we sold about 1000 copies of
those five books (print run was 250 copies by title). In 1999
we decided to start a new edition that will treat a
contemporary theory from different areas: cultural politics,
sociology, cultural studies, feminism...

Macedonian Authors
Templum has
also published around 20 authors from Macedonia, although we
have been focused on translations. Most of them are
poets-debutantes.
We might point on following titles: Short Stories from Skopje
(A Day in Skopje; contains 24 authors from different
generations who are connected with the same theme - Skopje),
Universal Crazy Dictionary by Pandalf Vulkanski (six pocket
books that play, in tradition of mannerism, with words from
the official Dictionary of Macedonian Language.
